What Komé Means
Komé 米, or rice, is the essence of Japanese culture. Centuries of emperors have revered rice and offered blessings to its harvests. Rice historically represented wealth and was even used as a form of currency to pay Samurai warriors. Folklore, festivals, and family rituals now give way to celebration through Japanese sake and spirits.
